Meet & Greet
When:  SUNDAY, August 27, 12 Noon - 2 pm
Where:  Pet Valu, 604 Plaza Drive, Four Seasons Plaza, Newark, DE

The new pups arrive on August 26, so we'll try to get some of the new kids to this M&G on their first day of retirement.  They will probably still be on 6 am track time wake up, so they will be raring to go by noon.  Come join us to welcome these new pups into retirement!

Greyhound Yappy Hour
When:  Wednesday, September 13, 6 - 9 pm

Where:  Crabby Dick's, 30 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE  302-832-5100

Although the summer is winding down, we still have one more opportunity to eat crab cakes on the deck at Crabby Dick's!  One of our favorite series of events during the year is relaxing on the outside deck at Crabby Dick's in Delaware City with our lazy hounds and their wonderful owners.  If you've never been to this CD location, it overlooks the Delaware River and has a beautiful little grassy park next to the restaurant. The deck is huge, with an outside bar, and the friendly staff supplies buckets of water for our hounds.  AND, they donate 20% of our dinner tab (with the flyer) to GPA-DE.

Come anytime between 6 - 9 and bring your hound and a blanket or pad for them to lay on. You're guaranteed to meet a new greyhound family you didn't know before and who knows?  They might even live near you for walks!  We hope to see lots of you there!

 Newark Community Day
When:  Sunday, September 17, 11 am - 4 pm
Where:  The Green, University of Delaware, Newark, DE

This is one of our biggest events and it's a great, fun day for families and to show off the hounds.  Community Day encompasses all of The Green in the center of the University of Delaware with music, food, artists, crafts, entertainment, public displays such as Firetrucks, other animal booths and lots of fun.  Come join us to see some available hounds and talk to our adopters about what a wonderful breed this is!
